Turning The World Upside Down – Acts 2

After the Resurrection, Jesus instructed the disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the promised Holy Spirit. He also told them that they would be his witnesses to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and all the world (Acts 1). On the day of Pentecost, the day had finally come when all that would come true, and beginning with Peter’s sermon that day, the world was never the same. Today, Christ-followers are still a vital part of God’s mission in the world, and we can learn a lot about how we can participate in that mission from the events of Pentecost.
