It’s Not About Me

If there has been one recurring theme over the past several months, this is it: “It’s not about me.” Now, those of you who know I’m a new dad (she turned 8 mo. this week!) are probably giggling and wondering why I’m just now admitting this. Actually this phrase keeps popping up in more areas than just fatherhood (though it CERTAINLY is apparent that life’s more about Emma than me these days–and I wouldn’t want it any other way). Our Friday night Bible study group declared this our theme after we just couldn’t escape using it every week. I also noticed that Max Lucado has a new book out by that title.

Is God trying to tell me/us something??? D’ya think?
