I’ve been reading Ecclesiastes in The Message this morning (an interesting read, that) and thought I’d share one of the many passages that struck me today.

On a good day, enjoy yourself!
On a bad day, examine your conscience.
God arranges for both kinds of days
So that we won’t take anything for granted.

OK, I have to share two.  There is a second that made me chuckle as I learned:

Don’t be quick to fly off the handle.
Anger boomerangs.  You can spot a fool by the lumps on his head.
